Artist Statement

I have been an artist my entire life and  irresistibly moved into a life as a professional artist in my teen years.

My life is committed to expressing myself through my art, something I've been doing for over 30 years.

I am drawn to expressing the limitless ways I can move people in my work to help them experience the same

joy I experience with my work in seeing the vibrancy of life in our lives. While I express myself in many ways, my

work often features the whimsy of imagery in our urban lives, notably through my cityscapes. In addition, I have

numerous serigraphs of my cityscapes and am in collections all over the world.

I also love painting horses. I worked for a year on a horse ranch in Arizona that swam horses for their therapy.

I was inspired daily by the beauty of that experience. Many of those images are available on my silk paintings and

in my encaustic works.

In addition, I have many paintings depicting the drama and color of the Amazon Rainforest. I have been there

six times and am always inspired by the beauty of the rainforest and it's animals. It is such an important part of me

that I donate a portion of the sale of each Amazon Rainforest painting to various Rainforest charities.

I currently live in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Please contact me if you would like to visit my studio or learn more about
